Description

Program TIC Yandex Counter v1.0 is intended for definition of TIC - thematic index of citing of Yandex.ru for sites. (Yandex.ru - main Russian Internet server).

Data input is carried out from chosen Web-pages and textual files, from a clipboard, "manual" input from a field of input, from input data file. A conclusion of the program: file HTML with values of TIC, opened in a window of a browser or search request is formed to Yandex.

The program allows to choose a file and to receive values of TIC for all contained in it WWW - servers. The opportunity of extraction WWW - addresses from textual files and Web-pages also is included.

The program will be useful to managers of sites and users of Internet, has intuitive - understandable Russian and the English interface, without installation.

Installation:

It is not required to installation, it is necessary to take all files of the program from archive and to place in a separate folder, further to cause ticyan.exe on performance.

First start of the program

At the first start of the program it will be necessary to make adjustment - there is a message: :



Further it is necessary for you to press button OK and to choose the data file of the program "indata.txt" which is located in the catalogue of program TIC Yandex Counter together with a file ticyan.exe. In case of an incorrect choice (the file indata.txt is specified not), the similar message will appear, calling to make the necessary choice.

Index of citing (or TIC) - the measure of "importance" of works of any scientist accepted in the scientific world. The size of an index is defined by quantity of links to this work (or a surname) in other sources. TIC is not only quantitative characteristic, therefore we show some approximated values which help to be guided in "importance" ("authoritativeness" of resources in each area).

What is the Internet - resource

TIC counted for Internets - resources. As a Internet - resource it may be understood both a site (host), and some section of a site (physically it is a directory). (Directory) is considered section of a site an independent resource if it is described in Yandex catalogue. If for a site in the catalogue some directories are described, TIC will be shorthanded for each of them, otherwise all site will be considered as one Internet - resource.

If the button "Count TIC" is pressed, in the window of a browser the file containing names of WWW-servers opens, and the values appropriate to them TIC - "money" will be shown. And if at this moment your computer is connected to the Internet then you receive values of TIC - "money" will be displayed in a window of a browser.

4) The fourth opportunity of definition of TIC is realized by functions of "right" group of buttons:

Definition of TIC, using chosen files from your computer and local area network - text files (*.txt, *.rtf), Web-pages (*.html, *.htm). We press buttons of a "Right" group: "Extract WWW addresses" or "Count TIC".

Extraction of name of the server occurs, if name is included http://, for example: http://softholm.com.

Between addresses there should be dividing marks: the blank, the comma, the colon etc.

As chosen files there may be raw LOG-files, files of statistics of visitings, Web-pages, text files etc.

And if at this moment your computer is connected to the Internet then you receive values of TIC - "money" will be displayed in a window of a browser.

Adjustment of the program - items of the menu "settings"

1) Browser

For the greater comfort in the work you may choose item of the menu "MS Internet Explorer" (if on your computer browser MS Internet Explorer is installed) then results of work of the program - files HTML - will open in new windows Internet Explorer.

If the item of the menu "Browser" - "Other" is chosen, results of work of the program - files HTML - will open in the current window of the browser used by default.

2) Language

To choose language of the interface of the program, it is necessary to select item of the menu: "Settings"---"Language"---"English" or "Russian" or to press buttons " English " or "Russian" on the form.

3) Repetition of names

The item of the menu " Repetition of names " - "Yes" serves that as a result of work of the program to receive full lists of names of servers, including repeating.

If the item of the menu "Repetition of names"- "No" is chosen, as a result of work of the program lists of names of servers, without taking into account repeating.
